Analysis Andro Critics from script drama LA SAINTE COURTISANE OR THE WOMAN COVERED WITH JEWELS By Oscar Wilde

The woman covered with jewels is an unfinished script drama by Oscar wilde , about a noblewoman named Myrrhina who try to seduce a man named honorius and make him fall in love with her beauty .  Myrrhina is so curious with this young hermit named honorius because those two people said honorius not interested in such a beauty because his love for his one and only God, that he worshipped.
The main character of this drama is myrrhina , a very beautiful noblewoman and a daughter of an emperor . Despite the fact that the author of this drama script is a male ,  he made Myrrhina character as someone who very highly respected and powerful in this drama . ‘I think she is one of the gods. I think she comes from Nubia.’ Even one of those man said she is one of the gods that they believe. As a female character Myrrhina pictured as a wonderful woman , but has a little narcisstic side , she can easily get every man she wants ‘From the uttermost parts of the world my lovers come to me. The kings of the earth come to me and bring me presents.’ and make everyone fall in love with her , include honorius as the story progressing . This reach the crossing level, where the author make an opposite gender character have a very great impact in the story , but this nothing new for the author oscar wilde . Oscar wilde is an irish man born on October 16th , 1854 in dublin, he’s known as a flamboyant , witty and has an impressive conversational skill . Majorly oscar focusing his interest in his female character , he showed the power of beauty and how woman should be loved .
However , for the male character , Oscar wilde is neutral at showing and picturing his male character it’s not excessively and still in tune with the story . Honorius character as a holy young hermit is appropriate , indeed those two people also afraid of Honorius but not too amaze like they are to Myrrhina , even compare Myrhina to gods , said she wouldn’t want to talk to them , and that if they look at her they might go blind because she is too shining ‘He who looks at the sun becomes blind. You are too bright to look at.’ Oscar wilde didn’t has tendency to make man much more superior than woman , but sometimes the opposite. He also picturing Honorius as a faithful christian, but later on when Myrrhina began to believe and follow him to love his one and only god , honorius also begin to fall in love with Myrrhina , ‘...I see now clearly what I did not see before. Take me to Alexandria and let me taste of the seven sins.’ This shows the power of Myrrhina beauty even a holy man like honorius whose love only for his God can changed direction to Myrrhina.

Analysis 'Dead Man's Money' by John Hunter

The first time I heard  a summary about the script drama Dead man’s money by John hunter , it immediately pick my interest  to read it further  . The story is very simple , the author make it so simple for us , but for searching the message and what is the purpose of the drama we should try analysing the script more deeper . In this essay i will try to analyze intrinsic element and social issue of this drama , to make us more understand what is the meaning and purpose of Dead man’s money by John hunter.
The first element is plot , the exposition start with benny finds walt died in his room on a homeless camp and near the death body of waltz he found a lotto ticket and he keeps it . When one day benny go to jong lee convenience store , jong lee give him the number of lotto ticket winner and benny surprised that it is the number of the walt ticket . The climax reached as benny who drunk and excited because of the lotto ticket , suddenly get killed by a delivery truck near jong’s store , the bad omen begin to spread after that accident , the ticket gone with the wind to gene blivens hand . Falling action happened after the ticket as in gene hands and he intended to using that money to pay his debt , but unfortunately the debt collector find him and torture him before he have an opportunity to collect the money . In the end no one get the money from that lottery , the lotto ticket was gone with the crushed corpses of gene .
Second is Setting , the setting of place and time in this drama is explains very clear so the reader can understand and imagine it very well . ‘EXT. HOMELESS CAMP – DAY’ the beginning of drama take a place in homeless camp when benny find walt died , and it happens in a day time , it shows that the author give us a clear clue . As for the social setting we can see from some aspect like the currency that the author used , he used $ (dollar) , then we all know the biggest country that has lottery in the world is united states , and  the author also mention city park and the biggest city park that was also in united states (central park , new york).
Third are theme and point of view , some of the theme that I found in this script are social , egoism and physical theme . Walt died because he was too excited with the lotto ticket , Benny get himself killed by a truck because he’s too drunk and happy after jong lee told him that lottery ticket is the winner , and Gene was killed by vinny and Oscar because they think he was lying about the ticket . Point of view of this script drama is 3rd person limited .
Fourth is character , Benny (50) is a homeless person who live in homeless camp with his friend walt (50) , He is the main and antagonist character because he is the one who created the conflict in this drama. Gene blivens(30) also one of the important character and the protagonist , he’s the key to the reader to know about what happen to the lottery ticket ,  after Benny’s death . Jong lee, Vinny, and Oscar are the minor character their role is needed but not too important  .
Next element is Tone , Benny the main character shows a Negative color of emotion. ‘OH WALT -- NOT NOW. Who’s gonna make me laugh and help me find more cans?’  that have a meaning Disparaging (sarcastic; critical), Then some positives tone like ‘Smile’ and ‘excited’. Walt on the other hand show many negative color of emotion , for example  in line  ‘Come on fellas, give me more time...’ And ‘Gene Blivens blubbers and pleads for his life.’ Gave a meaning that he’s so desperate for his life and so hopeless .
Last  , social issue that appear and become the main topic is ‘poverty’ . there are so many causes and negatives effects of poverty , being poor often lead to another worst effect like poor health , lack of water or housing , child abuse and violence . This drama make us realize how hard it is to live in deficiency , as a poor they must work hard , even betting on a lottery .
In conclusion this drama taught us to be a better human being and a honest person in life , do not take something if it doesn’t belong to you . Taking something that doesn’t belong to you means you stealing something from someone , even it is something you found or it is belong to someone who already death . This drama also make us feel more grateful and give us the feeling of sympathic for someone who is not lucky and must suffering for life .

Analysis Tone from Script Drama ‘AMY by Eric Chandler’ Based on Writer Diction

Tone is one of the literary element that you will find in a literary work ,  tone is conveyed through the words that narrator choosed. In this analysis I’ll try to find the tone or the color of emotion in this script drama from the diction (choosed word) and pay attention to the adjective word on script . First of all we search the negative and positive color of emotion (tone) from amy’s dialogue and line , and after that we search the tone in George dialogue.
Amy has some negative color of emotion the first one we’ll notice immediately is ‘sad’ in a line ‘sad expression’ even though the writer didn’t tell the cause , but it’ll let the reader know the situation and condition of our main character 'amy' , another word ‘Fragile’ help to emphasize the condition of Amy character. The word ‘complicated’ make the readers understand that Amy has a negative color emotion too , she feel depressed and desperate . From the amy dialogue ‘I have nothing left’ Adjective word melancholy (pensive;gloomy) is the suitable meaning for that line . And the last negative is on the line ‘I’m not worth saving’ and the word that suitable for that line is ‘Bleak’(Desolate;lifeless).
However , there is also some of the positive emotion from Amy , Like in the line ‘make yourself comfortable’  this line is also have a meaning she started to get ‘friendly’ with george and open up to him. She also has some positive that I Guess it has a meaning ‘Jovial’ (Contented ; Cheerful) in the last line of the script ‘Amy Smiles.
On the other hand , in contrast with Amy , George has many of positive emotion in the script that we can find through their dialogue . ‘You are better than you think you are’ it has similar meaning with adjective ‘Sanguine’ , george encouraging Amy that she is not vulnerable like that she was strong and better than she is now . And another positive color from george is ‘You have everything left’ it means that he doesnt want Amy to give up , it also has the same meaning as the word ‘optimistic’ (positive;affirmative) and last there is also word ‘funny’ to completed george positive tone.
George negative tone can be found implied on his dialogue , ‘I need help’ and ‘You’ll soon find someone who needs you a lot more than you need me’ , george is ‘hopeless’ we know from the story that george doesn’t remember who he is , so he thinks the one who can help him only Amy and george also ‘unsure’ of himself after he said he remember his past and after that he leave Amy alone. To conclude , this script drama is has a negative color of emotion , we can know from so many negative meaning adjective that appeared in the main character , amy , dialogue and line .

Analysis Implicit Meaning in Script Drama ‘AMY by Eric Chandler’

Implicit meaning is, a message that implied or a message that does’nt clearly expressed (unstated) in the story or anoter literary works . Needs a lot of work and effort in guessing the implicit meaning , in this essay I try to find the implicit meaning in a script drama titled AMY written by Eric Chandler .

‘Rain pours down on a house. AMY, a fragile beaten down by the world woman in her late 20’s, sits behind a window with a sad expression.’ I should mark the words rain , fragile , beaten down , and sad , those words enough to expressed the situation and condition of amy in the story . Amy is feeling so depressed right now , possibly she has a mental break down and feeling so frustrated about something . ‘Amy looks at a table...On the table is a picture frame ... photograph.’  This line maybe the answer of why amy get so depressed like that , maybe someone or something that she loved . Then come george to Amy house , he said he ‘needs help’ and he doesn’t know who he is , but Amy said ‘she can’t help him right  now’ , it is implied that how can someone that already had their own problem can help another person to solve their problem.

‘Above the chair is a rope attached to the ceiling’ Amy tried to commit suicide with hang herself . She said to george ‘I have nothing left’ and ‘I’m not worth saving’ , I think it is implied that she has lost someone that very important to her . ‘Amy looks down at her wrist There is no wound of any kind’ this scene make us wonder, what happened ?, but we can assumed that all of this is just imagination even george said ‘funny’ and he immediately go from amy house.

In conclusion all of this event in the drama is all just Amy halucination after suffering from a mental breakdown , she got really depressed and start to halucinating thing like ; her wound in her wrist , the stranger man named that she called george and her son who come back home in the ending is a prove that Amy still trapped in her imagination. Furthermore ,  In my opinion George is a representation of a little hope that left in Amy soul who always tried to save her and give her a reason to live.

Analysis P.o.V & Theme 'Pieces of Me by Jean Pierre'

Pieces of Me by Jean Pierre Chapoteau is  a very well written , it’s very clear how the writer express his feelings and thought in the drama . Telling about a 14 years old boy , Kaleb , who tried to survive the post-apocalyptic world , But so many things happened in his way to find the shelter to lived a normal life . The story / plot is so simple but the way the writer write his script makes us feel emotional and maybe a little bit insecure after read it .

In my opinion , the point of view of this script drama is 3rd person limited omniscient , it’s shown at the line  ‘His dirty face embraces a light breeze as it flows through his grimy dread locks.’. I am saying it is limited omniscient because , the writer explained what happened and what action that each character (especially Kaleb) take in every event , But the writer didn’t tell what they’re thinking or sometimes he even didn’t explained how the character feel .

Physical , Social , and Divine theme is the strongest theme that appear in this script drama . ‘Kaleb proceeds in his direction. But he stops and examines his weathered boots.....He signals Eliza to follow him toward the inevitable trouble.’ This is one of the line that show the physical theme , because this is the story of someone (Kaleb) who tried to survive we’ll see a lot of physical action that our main caracter doing from eating bugs for surviving , figting with another survivor , and search for shelter.

‘Kaleb whips out his pistol and lets off a shot, missing JACK's, 30s...’ Kaleb’s our main character make the social theme appear after he met Jack and his wife Debra , they make a social interaction one anoter . Kaleb who want to protect the baby and jack who said the baby that Kaleb’s found is his baby make the conflict become more complex , until Kaleb’s decide to kill Jack because Jack also take Kaleb’s thing so it makes Kaleb didn’t believe in Jack and debra , I assumed that there is also a egoistic theme because they are very ambisious at protecting the baby and their belonging even try to kill each other , but unfortunately it’s not too strong so I can’t make the research from that side of theme .

‘With lost morals and sanity, what reasons should one go on?... We no longer belong here.’ Divine theme is a theme that related to god , in the end Kaleb feel so desperate the baby that he tried to save and take to the shelter is taken away by Debra in the end , and Kaleb also lost his loyal companion Eliza . Feel so desperate because all of his effort is for nothing , Kaleb decide to end his life , he feel that there’s no place anymore for human in the earth all of mankind and sanity is long gone and he decide to take his life to get back to his creator (God) .

Analysis Setting and Character from Script Drama 'Action Speaks Louder Than Words by Jamie Press'

Setting is one of the element that we need in performing drama, to know what and how the stages look first we must analyze the script carefully. In setting analysis we can find place, time, and social setting. Social setting is the objective setting that the narrator / writer give to the reader , in any words the writer is giving the reader the clue about the setting, so the reader must guess it by themselves. This social setting can be about culture, language, currency, etc.

‘INT. CORRIDOR - COLLEGE – DAY ... Along the wide open, long corridor of this college lie piles of scattered belongings from students...’ this show us the opening place setting of the drama , from this we know that the story take a place in a college and more specific the first scene happen in a corridor of that college. ‘Inside the library looks like a tornado just hit.... Underneath one desk is AARON ...’ and then as the story progressing there are a lot of changes place and finally it take a place at the library where it reachs the climax until the end of the story . The time setting we can assumed that the story happen in the morning or afternoon it can be seen at the text ‘SIRENS FLASH AND BLARE as we CRANE UP to the beautiful clear sky.’

‘....the guy who fell in the punch bowl at the prom?’  This is the social setting that I analyze from the script. Prom night is a tradition that come from America, where the senior year high school students hold the party after graduating class this event is very important for some of the teenagers , this event is the time where you can get close with your friends have a dinner , dance , and got a date or a crush. So , I assuming that from this cultural tradition this drama take place in America it’s emphasized by the ‘booze’ at the line ‘you like your booze then?’ booze is often mistaken as an american language that means alcohol or alcoholic drink, even though the original form language is from germany ‘baúsen’ or the dutch word ‘búsen’ and adapted to english word  become ‘booze’.

As for the character analysis , Kevin is the major character and the antagonist in this drama. Kevin is a 16 years old teenager with a bad past and a lot of problem , his problem in home and his school push him to do the massacre in his college and make him met with our protagonist Aaron. Kevin character is the character who make a trouble and progressing the story, he is also the typical and dynamic character, this explained by Aaron and Kevin dialogue. In the past Kevin was a good kid, but after his father died his life become a mess and this is one of the trigger that become a  conflict on this drama.

On the other hand, Aaron is a minor and protagonist character. He doesn’t make the conflict but he help kevin and make the story progress until the end even though he’s not give an impact to the story. Aaron also a static and neutral character, his life doesn’t change after he get out from the school and his word for kevin doesn’t do anything for kevin, kevin still commit a suicide and the story end with kevin died and Aaron getting out alive.

Plot Action Speaks Louder Than Words By Jamie Press

Action Speaks Louder Than Words by Jamie Press, is one of the most interesting drama script that i’ve ever read, because the story give us a little bit mystery and horror vibes. It might be confusing at first, but as the story progressing you will now what is the reason behind all of this horrible accident and what the drama supposed to mean.

‘Along the wide open, long corridor of this college lie piles of scattered belongings from students.’ From the beginning (exposition) the writer let us play with our imagination to build the stage / setting with a lot of setting changes first we will see the scene in corridor, then changes into a few classrooms, and finally library.

The rising action begin with the scene where aaron hides in the library from someone-that later we know his name is kevin, that doing a massacre in his school. Kevin found Aaron hiding under the table in the library, instead of killing him kevin just talking to aaron. Aaron character at this drama, I can say, that he is so smart he’s buying time and  he’s not showing his fears in front of kevin.

‘Those bastards embarrassed me in front of the girl I love.’ This is the climax of the drama, Kevin tell all of his secret to aaron. After I knew the reason why kevin do all of this terrible things I feel a little symphatic to him, Kevin never want to do this horrible thing he just angry with what happen around him, from his bad relationship with his mother, his poor quality education, and a trauma with his girlfriend, also bullying. I know kevin feel so depressed and desperate but his decision to murder everyone in school is not right, and it's not going to solve his problem.

‘What’s my life worth? Huh? Why am I here? What did God put me on this earth for?.’ This is remark of the falling action, kevin began to calm down, introspected himself, and aaron try to help him even though he knows that it is no used. Kevin said to aaron that action speaks louder than words and explain the meaning of it to aaron, for kevin it’s mean words is useless unless you do something and he gave an example from his experience with the bully, and Aaron got suspicious that kevin do all of this because of all the bad things that happened to him in the past.

The ending of this drama is when kevin told aaron to get out and leave the school and after awhile aaron heard a gunshot , and we can assume that kevin commit suicide then finally the drama reach it’s end. Furthermore , this drama  teach us hat indeed action speaks louder than words , if you only talk without doing anything , then you got nothing.
